Although it has gone unnoticed by many people who live in Lake Balboa, on November 2, 2007, the Los Angeles City Council officially renamed our community from Van Nuys to Lake Balboa. The Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council is sponsoring an event to celebrate the official renaming of our community to Lake Balboa. The event is tentatively planned to be held in Woodley Park in early 2009. It will be attended by representatives from the City Council.
A committee is being formed to organize and plan this event. All stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the committee as this will be an amazing opportunity to bring our community together. The LBNC is soliciting ideas and volunteers for this event and looks forward to hearing from you.
