West Nile Virus Detected in LA, Riverside, and Kern Counties

In case you missed it… it’s official. The start of the summer West Nile Virus season has begun. Both the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the California Department of Public Health issued press releases late last week reporting the first human cases of 2018.
Panic? no. Take action? YES. Keep repellents handy; find and remove standing water; and keep doors and windows screened. Mosquito control is everyone’s responsibility. For more info: visit www.westnile.ca.gov.
