Attention CA Homeowners, You May be Eligible for Mortgage Relief!

We are thrilled to share some good news with you: the U.S. Treasury Department has finally approved California's plan to provide $1 billion in mortgage relief in order to help as many as 40,000 struggling homeowners in our state.

The California Mortgage Relief Program is open to all eligible Californians who are currently experiencing pandemic-related hardships and have fallen behind on their housing payments. The program will help homeowners make past due housing payments - to a maximum of $80,000 per household - by making a one-time direct payment to mortgage servicers.

Eligible applicants must be at or below 100% of their county's Area Median Income, own a single-family home, condo, or permanently affixed manufactured home; have faced a pandemic-related financial hardship after January 21, 2020; AND also meet at least one of the following qualifications:

  • Receiving public assistance;
  • Severely housing burdened; or
  • Have no alternative mortgage workout options through your mortgage servicer.

If you think you may be eligible, click here to check your eligibility and apply now. There is no deadline to apply, but we highly encourage you to submit your applications as soon as possible, as the program operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
